London Fashion Weekend

Do you look at the catwalks and wish you could be there? I was always that girl with my face glued to computer watching catwalk online and gasping at the clothes. I would instantly start picking my wardrobe for the next season and start looking at the trends. I may not be a head to toe uber-fashionista but I like to have one or two key pieces. Ladies, I am here to tell you about a little shopping haven that will help you update your wardrobe.

At London Fashion Weekend, you can get items from the current season at discount. It makes a lovely day out with friends. Clothes, jewellery and accessories, it's all there. Designers include Jaeger London, Linda Farrow and the fabulous Holly Fulton. Having seen her current collection here, it is not one to miss with bold colours and prints.

Get your hair and makeup done, be entertained by top DJs and eat at some of the top restaurants which are around Somerset House including resident outlet, Tom Aiken. For a perfect wardrobe update, head to London Fashion Weekend. What I love about London Fashion Weekend is the ability to be on the front row. Tickets to the catwalk shows are like gold dust so for the chance to be on the F-Row where celebs have been sitting just hours before is pretty awesome. This year Caroline Flack and Zoe Hardman are hosting the catwalk shows so I am sure it will be lots of fun. I recommend starting early as there is lots to see and do.

Sarenza Heels

I believe shoes complete an outfit. The make it work and bring it all together. For some people, they start with a shoe and plan an outfit around them. Shopping for shoes for me is like being in a candy store. I love that feeling when you are dolled up wearing killer heels, you walk in to the room and you feel tall and confident. You look glamorous and that is the essence of this blog, feeling good about yourself. When I go shopping for heels, one of my favourite stops is Sarenza. So I had a little look and chose my favourite pair. It was hard but I narrowed it down to this Iron Fist Gold Star Point heel. I think it is very glam heel and perfect for a night out so I created this look. I can even see paired with skinny jeans, skull tshirt and a leather jacket for rock chick look.

Red Carpet Manicure - Gel Polish at home

How annoying is when you spend all that time doing your nails so they are nice and shiny and the next day they are dull or chipped? This is why I like gel polish. It last forever and it stays glossy like you just stepped out of a nail bar. However getting gel polish at a salon can be a bit expensive. So what if I said there is now at-home version allowing you to do your own gel polish in the comfort of your home whenever you like? Sounds good right? Enter Red Carpet Manicure.

I got try the kit and it was so easy to use and stayed on glossy until I had to pry it off. It only chipped on the side but it was barely noticeable. The kit comprises of everything you need including the LED light to cure. There are 36 colours from cobalt blue to classic red. This is Red Carpet Reddy and is 3 day old polish.

In the Professional kit you get and in the order you use them:
Purify Cleanser, Prep, Base Coat Gel, Gel Polish in the utterly fabulous Red Carpet Reddy, Brilliance Top Coat Gel, Cuticle Oil, Gel Polish remover and the LED light.

There is a portable starter kit and it has a battery operated light and takes a bit longer to cure. The best way to show you is see the kit in action so here's a little video I found.

However, because it stays on so well, getting it off is not easy. I tried to follow the instructions but it was hanging on in there. I just filed the stubborn pieces off and it did the trick.

The Professional Red Carpet Manicure Kit is £79.95 and the Portable Kit is £59.95. You may think it is expensive but compare it to what you would pay in a salon for a gel polish? It pays for itself in 3-4 manicures. If Red Carpet Reddy is not your colour, the other colours are £11.95. GlossyBox - December Box

There has been lots of the various beauty boxes, what's good, what's not and what you get in each. So I wanted to do something a little different. It has been a while since the December boxes but I wanted to really try the products and discover what I liked and focus on the good stuff rather than just a list of here's what I got. Here's a picture of my box.

My favourite has to be the Rituals Shower Gel in Mandarin & Mint. The smell is just divine and a little goes a long way. When I use this it just makes me never want to get out of the shower. It's is fruity and I can really smell the mandarin. I will definitely be seeing how the other shower gels smell like.

My next favourite was the Deborah Lippmann nail varnish. It was a purple glitter polish and being a nail addict, it is perfect for a night out. I suggest experimenting a bit. Add a black tip for a hot look. It was just a shame it was on the small side.

The January boxes are out soon. I wonder what is coming up next? Overall December was a very good box and one of their better ones. What you would like to see in future boxes? I am a makeup junkie so makeup is always good for me. I think Glossybox have done okay at offering the luxury brands they promise like Illamasqua and Daniel Sandler. They have included smaller luxury brands that I have not heard but have taken joy in discovering as well the big names. Occasionally they do slip up and the odd non-luxury creeps in but I am not complaining because for £12.95, 7 samples is not bad. If I get 6 items I like and one that I don't, I don't mind at all. Don't forget, you can now get your man looking and smelling good as there is now Glossybox for men. As well as gift subscriptions for that someone who has been umming about whether to get one.

Dune SS12 - Shoes and Bags to love

Supertrash SS12

Over the past year, I have been amazed by the amount of brands I did not know. Foreign brands that are expanding into the UK and small homegrown brands that offer unique and interesting pieces are all exciting. I recently came across Supertrash who blew me away. It is an american-dutch brand with LA feel to it. If you get past the name, it is anything but trash. The SS12 season has lots of print and feminine, lovely dresses. It has quickly proved a favourite with celebs and models including Victoria's Secret model, Candice Swanepoel in a Supertrash dress and Iman in their jacket. Here is little taster of the SS12 collection.

What is not to love here? Prices are in euros because the site conversion to pounds is confused.

Hobbs SS12

I went to see the Hobbs SS12 collection a few weeks ago. Whenever I have walked past Hobbs it just never caught my eye and made me want to go in. Seemed a bit too mature.. almost. So I was little unsure of what to expect. I have to say I was impressed. I saw so many pieces I would love to wear to work.

So smart, so chic. I adore this colour combination.

The showstopper for me was this above piece from Hobbs Invitation. Hobbs Invitation is a new collection for that special occassion all year round. It includes cocktail dresses, couture inspired gowns and amazing chiffon dresses. If I have a summer ball to go to (which will never happen, but I can dream) this would be my choice. I just had a thought. I love it so much that I might buy it and save it for my christmas party next year. I can't believe I am thinking about next christmas when we just celebrated one but the structure is simply stunning and I am in love!

Vero Moda SS12

Ever since the Vero Moda store opened in Westfield Stratford, the brand has quickly become one of my favorites go to places to shop. It has fashion forward pieces at very reasonable prices. I could easily set up camp and be happy. So many pieces I lust after. Here is a little taster of what is to come in the next few months and you will see what I mean. Enjoy!

The Chelsea Day Spa - Sheer Bliss

This week I got the chance to for a little R&R and I went off to The Chelsea Day Spa. It is a spa based in the heart of Chelsea offering all the services you could possibly need including waxing, massage, facials, tanning and it has a nail bar. One of the signature treatments is the New York Manicure and Pedicure to make you look like you stepped right out from Sex and the City. Super glossy and super fast as we all know New York ladies move fast. However, I went there to try out something a little different, their Deep Tissue Massage.

I sit at desk and type for a lot of the day so had been feeling a bit sore around the neck and back. A lot of office workers get back pain from being hunched over for most of the day. Let's be honest, when you are working to a deadline, how many of us actually remember to get up from the chair and take a break for a few minutes? My lovely therapist was Carmen and she knows all about the pressure points and asked what level of pressure so you can go for something relaxing or more deep. A deep tissue massage is good if you have severe tension or a sustained physical injury. The treatment room has soothing candles and music.

So Carmen went to work, starting lightly to loosen the muscles. I have a lot tension in my neck and back so she started to work deeper and work on the muscles. Using just her elbows and bones, she really got the knots in my back out. The oils they use is almond oil which was nice and relaxing. At points it began to get slightly painful as expected with a deep tissue massage. The idea is is to focus on the muscles below the top muscles so the pressure has to be hard.

After the massage, I felt so relaxed and my muscles were loose and flexible. Then I woke up the next day. You can expect there to be some pain the day after and believe me, I felt it. This is the residual tension leaving your body. It is recommended you have a hot bath when you get home to help the ease the of last tension. I used a good muscle soak which really helped. Two days later and I feel great! I am trying to keep my posture right and follow all the desk rules to keep the knots at bay. A good neck and back massage is recommended every month to ease the tension. If you let it build up, it is hard to get rid of and it will begin to affect your health.

E>One: My IPL Hair Removal Journey

Hair removal has to be one of the most tedious, painful things. Body hair can really get someone down, especially dark hair on fair skin. Having smooth skin is part of looking groomed and it gives you confidence. I used to epilate as it was not messy. I have a high pain threshold so I found the pain no worse than waxing. IPL and Laser hair removal was always something that was in the back my head and was something I wanted to do but was ridiculously expensive. So I jumped at the chance to go see the E>One in action. The E>One is one of the top of the range at-home IPL depilation devices on the market.

It was a fantastic event where we got to try the E>One out and even had a little boogie with a Zumba instructor. We had to learn a Zumba routine and then a certain celebrity dancer was going to judge us at the end for a prize. So I put on my dancing shoes and shaked my thang to Livin La Vida Loca. Who steps to judge us? None other than the fabulous... Flavia Cacace from Strictly Come Dancing! Flavia uses the E>One herself so she was there to tell is about what she thinks about it. So when I decided to take part, my ethos was shake it like I have no bones in my body and enjoy it. Well I must have done something right because who did she pick to win? Me!!!!!!!!! I squealed and jumped for joy as the prize was an E>One itself. To this day I still can't believe I won. So I have decided to document my progress with the E>One. So I am going to tell you a little bit about the E>One and then I will tell you my progress so far.

The E>One uses IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology rather than laser. There is a lot of discussion about whether Laser or IPL is best. ESwin, makers of the E>One say darker skin tones and darker hairs have been a issue for Laser making IPL the safer option. It works by destroying the hair follicle so the hair cannot grow back. The best thing about the E>One is works on darker skins, except black skin I'm afraid. It works on tanned skin so you do not need to take any breaks after your summer holiday. Using the E>One is so simple and easy. You can tell it what thickness of hair you are depilating as different areas of the body have different thicknesses of hair. You can tell how strong you want the light to be, the stronger the light the more effective it will be however it does make slightly more painful. The pain level is being snapped with an elastic band. There are 6 levels of power and I have only worked my way up to 4 as they say start on the low powers than work your way up as you progress your treatments. It has more safety measures than any other device so you feel completely safe. One you clicked through all the safety measures, put on your Ray Ban-esque glasses for protection, point and click. It takes about 2 seconds to recharge and you can click away again. Your skin does get a bit red which goes down in a few hours. A few days later the hairs start to fall out and you are left with super smooth skin. Treatments are required every 3-4 weeks due to the hair cycle. It can take up 10 treatments to completely remove the hair but it has been shown to be complete a lot sooner. I am aiming for 6 treatments. After your 10 treatments, all you need is a yearly 'top-up' and you are hair-free forever. No more waxing, epilating or shaving!!!

I completed my first treatment 3 weeks ago and I am due to do my second treatment soon. Here are my before and after photos of my legs. As it was the first treatment I have some regrowth but there are a lot of bald patches where it has worked first time.

I am using it pratically everywhere, legs, bikini, arms, underarms and face. With a medium skin tone and dark hair, hair was always an issue for me and I cannot thank everyone involved enough for this.

At £1319, it is more expensive than it's competitors because it is the safer and more powerful option. I see so many reviews where people pay hundreds for a hair removal device and it does not work. I say pay a little extra and be sure it work safely for you. You can pay by installments if the lumpsum is too much. £1319 is still cheaper than the salon appointments for waxing and all those at-home kits that you would spend over the years and miles cheaper than doing IPL at a salon.

So I decided to give myself a little nudge and motivation to help me get in the right direction. Step in Nosh Detox. Nosh offer a healthy food delivery service all made into programmes specially tailored for you and your goals.

The best way to describe the food I found is from NOSH founder, Geeta. All the food is NOSH - 'Natural, Organic, Safe and Healthy'. So may well think it is radical and it could not possibly be tasty. Well I tried the ABC Programme – Alkalise, Balance & Cleanse. The programme starts off with a questionnaire asking for your requirements. Wheat, lactose, gluten or any intolerance? No problem, just enter it on the questionnaire and no wheat and gluten for you. You can food you particularly like or dislike so there is a high probability the food that comes is yummy. Then delivery is organised and the food can be delivered to your home or office. If you live outside the M25, you get food delivered for 3, 5 or 7 days. I got food delivered for 3 days all together and it suited me perfectly. Within M25, it is daily deliveries. Rest assured the food is freshly prepared. The programme consists of a breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack and dinner. So you have no need to enter a supermarket for the duration of your programme. So what exactly did I get delivered? My daily menu looked like this:

The only things that changed was lunch and dinner, all the smoothie's stayed the same. The breakfast smoothie is filling and kept me going all morning. The Superfood smoothie looks like green sludge but is the utterly delicious. I absolutely love it and could drink it all day long. The lunch was a bit hit and miss for me. If you like courgettes and lentils, you will love the soups, they are not my favorites so did not quite get on this two. The Basil Tomato soup was a delight. The fruit smoothie is sweet and kept me going through my mid-afternoon slump. Dinner was always lovely. The Fusilli and Duck breast were my top dinners. Everything is neatly packaged to ensure it arrives safely and no leaking.

I did have to go out and get different lunches on the first two days but otherwise I kept to the menu and surprisingly enjoyed it. One of major things I learnt from this was portion control. It was good to see exactly the portion sizes I should be eating. I also gave me some ideas to make healthy food tastier for me. I am not the greatest lover of vegetables, I am carbs girl. So the roasted paprika vegetables really opened my eyes and made think, I can do this.

Detox with the Infrared Dome

Tis' the season for drinking, eating and being merry. However with all that indulgence comes a few extra pounds. I always like to get a headstart on the new year detox and prepare a few weeks early. There is no reason why you can't enjoy yourself and get a headstart so over the next day I am posting some detox posts to get ready for all that Turkey and Yorshire Puddings. Yummy. Enough of that.... The latest technology to help you detox is the Infrared Dome, also known as Iyashi Dome.

What does it do? I am glad you asked. Simply put, you lie on a wooden bed and the Dome covers you from the face down and it uses infrared rays to penetrate and heat the body creating a a loss of up to 600 kilocalories for every half hour session. Benefits include weight loss, detoxification, stress release and a kickstart to the metabolism. Do you know how long I have waited for something like this to come out? You sit back and the calories literally drain away from you? This was to good to be true. I had to try.

The Iyashi Dome itself

So a few weeks ago I set out to test this little baby out. The lady on reception was very welcoming and explained the whole process and what to expect. So you get underneath the dome, in your birthday suit or with some disposable undies. The heat starts off gently and I felt quite relaxed. Then the heat kept rising and rising. Baking is not the word. The heat works by penetrating 40mm deep under the skin for a deep, purifying cleanse. The treatment last 30 minutes and 20 minutes I was dripping in sweat. You are front at first then you turn on your back for the last 15 minutes. You have access to water and believe me you will need it. In the last few minutes, it really becomes tough, but not unbearable. The lady told me that at this point, the amount of calories being burnt is comparable to that of 20km run without the sore thighs afterwards. Wow!

After your 30 minutes are up, you have to stay lying down for a few minutes while you body cools down. A shower is not recommended immediately afterwards as you will lose 40% of the benefits. They do have wipes so you can freshen up. I felt absolutely amazing after my first sesssion. I was refreshed and felt rejuvenated. A lot of the weight loss comes from water so I lost only a little bit of weight but my metabolism feels a lot faster and the weight loss seems to have continued in to the weeks after so overall, I am very impressed.

After an insane amount of press days and lots going on, I am back and raring to go. Lots to write about and share with you guys so watch this space. I came across a australian brand new to UK, ECOYA. Their have the most amazing natural candles and skincare.The candles are made from Soy wax. One of my favorite candles is the Sorrento Occasion Jar, pictured below. It is beautifully packaged and has a contemporary look to make the perfect gift for a candle lover.

Because the it is made from natural Soy wax, it is not scalding hot to touch and can be used as a moisturiser. I often dip my hands in and rub in to my hands. There are six fragrances to choose, French Pear, Lotus Flower, Wild Frangipani, Lemongrass & Ginger, Vanilla Bean and Sweet Pea & Jasmine. Lotus Flower is one of their best sellers. To complement the candle, there are Reed Diffusers as well.

I am the biggest fan of The Biggest Loser (the US version not the UK one). I adore Jillian Michaels. I love the way the trainers motivate you and push to your limits and beyond. That is when you truly get results. So when I heard about Sexy in the City Bootcamp I jumped at the chance to try it out. No, this nothing to do with Carrie & Co. It is all about fitness, nutrition and getting in shape.

I have tried out a few personal trainers. I found training good but lacking on the nutritional advice so would it not be nice to get the whole package? Someone to train and motivate you as well as nutritional and diet advice in a short space of time? This is what celebrity trainers Tim Drummond and Phil Hawksworth do. The bootcamps take place twice a week with classes at Liverpool Street and London Bridge lasting for 30 mins and regular emails with nutritional advice.

The class I took part in was a circuit style with 5 pit stops including pulling and pushing a tyre across the room which made me feel like I was Biggest Loser as I have seen them do that exercise so many times. I always thought how hard can pushing a tyre be? How wrong was I! Another pit stop was a side plank and I had to rotate the abs and bring the arm down. Overall it was exercises I would never have thought to do but made me really feel the burn through to the next morning. My thighs killed me so much I have no idea how I got to work that day. Totally worth it though.

If you are dedicated to fitness and want results, this is definitely the place to go. Be warned, no pain no gain and you WILL feel the pain. You only have to look at their success stories on the website to see the incredible results over 6 weeks. So how much does it cost? A lot. The Sexy in the City programme is priced at £99 per month or bring a friend and the first month is £66 per person. Sexy in the City also offers a two week trial of their online programme packed with additional exciting tips, nutritional and lifestyle advice. So yes it is expensive, but where else will you get the results so fast? One lady lost 12lbs in 4 weeks. I struggle to lose 2lbs.

So if you looking to get into that Christmas dress, bikini or perhaps prepare for a wedding, this would perfect. I do think you need to have a good level of fitness before you attend the class, otherwise you could end up like me sprawled across the floor convinced that I was dying of heart failure. I am huge believer in red lips. I think everyone can wear a red lips, it is just about finding the right shade. Coming into party season, it is the perfect time to find your shade. I got the chance to try i-pout lipstick from New CID Cosmetics. There are 12 shades including 7 new shades. For a bright red, make like Gwen Stefani and go for Scarlet.

So I created a hot red look below. I used a red lip liner from Smooch. The lipstick is Scarlet. The photo makes me look like I have lips like Angelina Jolie. I wish my lips were that luscious but they are really not, I swear!

If a hot red is not for you, you can always go for a less dramatic shade like Coral Kiss below.

These lipsticks have a little feature which sets them apart. There is a button to switch on a light on the bottom as well a mirror on the lid so perfect for applying lippy on the go. The weather has turned very cold this week. It has rained and poured heavily. At times it was difficult to know what to wear as I looked outisde in the morning and the sun was shining yet by 1pm, it is pouring. My shoes often were soaked through which never feels good. So I began the hunt for some winter shoes. I first saw Onitsuka Tiger trainers when watching Kill Bill and Uma Thuran wore the infamous yellow trainers with a black stripe. Benefit Watt's Up Review

Benefit have recently released their latest highlighter, Watt's Up. Designed to make you glow like a lightbulb, it is a highlighter stick in a champagne shade. I prefer this much more to Highbeam as it has a more creamy finish.

It has a sponge for blending on one end. Personally I like to blend with my hands as it gives more control so I did not use the sponge but always good to know it is there. Use it along your brow bone and cheeks for a lovely glow. You can use it by itself or above makeup.

At £24.50 it is cheaper than NARS Multiple but still priced above the average highlighter. I do think it is worth it.

Soap & Glory Cosmetics Review

Skincare favourite, Soap & Glory have now released their makeup range. 2 of my favorite products are Supercat and Arch de Triumph. Supercat is an eyeliner pen. It is easy to apply and has an intense black colour. I am huge fan of the cateye with a flick. However, some people find it difficult to create the look. Supercat makes it easy. You can create a thin line by using just the tip or a thick line by using the side.

Arch de Triumph is an eyebrow definer and highlighter all in one. There are two ends on the pencil. For perfect brows, use the highlighter under the brows and blend. It is very soft so easy to blend. This step is very important as it brightens up the face. Then use the brow definer which is a brown colour and gives a natural but defined look. Fill in the brows for a full look.

Amy Childs launched her clothing line recently. I am actually really impressed with the clothes. Some of dresses are very elegant and great for work. Of course in typical Essex fashion, you have sparkly dresses for a night out as well.

Christian Louboutin - Les 20 Ans

There is one word that makes me quiver, one shoe that makes me salivate. Louboutin. A few weeks ago it was announced all over the blogosphere that in honour of his 20 years of hard work, Christian Louboutin is releasing Les 20 Ans, a 20th anniversary book. It is now on sale and to coincide, Christian Louboutin has releases videos of what went into making this book. It is behind the scenes at the photo shoots.

What I would have given to have a been a fly on the wall that day! The video includes Dita Von Teese, Kristin Scott Thomas, Mika and Gareth Thomas to name a few. There is a lot of skin on show. It is all about the shoes! Did you know Christian Louboutin collaborates with Dita and makes all her shoes for her shows? Lucky lucky lady! My love affair with CL continues!

I have also had a peek at the new collection for SS12, unfortunately I could not take photos but I can tell you it is fabulous. Expect studs, spikes, jewels and lots of colour. There was a pair of shoes with long spikes on the toe area mixed with jewels. Fabulous!

Nails Inc Blogger Competition

Nails Inc are having a competition which gives YOU the chance to create your very own nail polish! Several bloggers have created designs using Nails Inc polishes. To enter, all you have to do is 'like' your favourite design. I went for a crazy, eccentric design. Tell me what you think in the comments and if you like it, vote for me!

To create this look I used 4 colours. First a base colour of Charing Cross (red). I did this the day before as it needs to dry completely for the next step. Once dry, put a strip of sellotape over the nail and paint a colour over the top and bottom. You can choose any colour and amend the design. Perhaps stick to two colours and go horizontal? Leave the sellotape on for about 30 minutes to let the polish dry then take it off.

I have discovered the most amazing natural beauty site where you can buy products without chemical overload. If you have sensitive or problem skin, it is maybe one of 2 things. You are probably using the wrong products for your skin type or putting the wrong things into your body and the toxins provide skin problems. I know, I know, so many claim the exact same thing. Well let me ask you how can Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham and Kate all be wrong? I think we are on to a winner here. The bee venom works to control the facial muscles to lift and tighten the face. Bee warned, it is venom so you can expect tingling but nothing painful. No bees are harmed to make the mask!

Heaven also have SOS oil to the rescue. It is a multi-purpose product designed to treat all manner of skin problems including eczema, dry skin, blackheads and spots. There seems to a lot of beauty oils out there now but it was interesting to see if it lived up to the claim. It did, partly. It definitely helped my dry skin and my skin has a much more even skin-tone. I think it is very important for winter months. My only gripe is it I did not see much difference in blackheads or spots but then again no product has managed to work a miracle. I am not quite sure how adding more oil to a blackhead is meant to help? Is not meant to be less oil? What I did like is you add it to your cleanser or moisturiser to give you super soft skin.

Suti is new holistic skincare brand that has been around for a year.The range includes hand-blended facial oils, balms and body butters. Suti is named after the founders, Suzanne Jenkins and Tina Steadman. The products are made with principles from aromatherapy, homeopathy and energising crystals which I think make it a unique brand. One of their hero products is the Rejuvenate Face Oil. Having tried it, I found it is moisturising and very uplifting. It smells amazing as it contains Rosehip Seed Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Argan Oil and Frankincense. I will be reviewing their Facial Cleanser very soon so look out for it.

Antipodes is a skincare brand from New Zealand. They have a new product, Saviour Skin Balm. It is a balm for your everyday skin troubles from dry skin, chapped lips and easing sunburn. . It is scientifically shown to stimulate synthesis of Type III collagen by more than 95% and Type I collagen by 61%. Type III helps to renew cells to contirbute towards repair of damaged skin and Type I supports younger looking skin.

For an amazing multi-purpose product, PURE Papaya Ointment is an a skincare essential. It is something for your makeup bag and medicine cabinet. Not only does it soothe and protect your skin, it can be a lip balm, soothes minor burns and insect bites, eczema and oddly enough, aftercare of tattoos.

That means it does not just create a sweet smelling creamy layer on your skin which lasts all of 30 minutes and your skin is as dry as a bone, but it actually treats the cause of dry skin. How does it do that, you ask?

The 3 honeys used are Thyme, Acacia and Orange Blossom. I met the Head of Research & Development at their launch recently and he described the technology behind the products. When creating the Apicosma range, they were trying to see which was best honey and see what effects each honey provided. It turns out that when combined, the new 'super-honey' had unexpected, new effects. Not only does it replenish nutrients in the skin, it regenerates the skin cells to create a thicker epidermis and strengthen the skin. A thin epidermis is a cause of dry skin so this is how it fights dry skin and makes it completely different to other skin ranges.

Now not everywhere on the body is dry. Some areas will have dry patches. So Melvita have the Apicosma Ultra Nourishing Body Balm and most definitely my favourite. It is a rich body balm to target the dry areas and smells amazing. Wonderful for mild eczema sufferers like me!

For a more everyday product there is the Skin Softening Nourishing Body Milk. It is less rich than the Body Balm and rapidly absorbs into the skin leaving it super soft. For your hands which often get forgotten about in winter there is Apicosma Extra Rich Hand Cream which left my hands feeling amazing.

Green Eye Makeup

For an evening out, I regularly return to green eye shadow for an amazing effect. Green eyes featured in the Alice & Olivia SS12 show at NYFW. So I thought I might have go.

I used 2True cosmetics for this look. I started off with a base colour of the light green in True Colour Duo Eyeshadow. Then I darkened it up with the second green. Then I used the Twist 'n' Line Eye Definer in No.4 Emerald Green to line the upper and lower eyelines. For a glitter effect, I used the Eyeliner Dazzler, a glitter eyeliner, in no.7 to line the upper eyeline. What do you think of the result?

I have to say I like the eye definer and eye liner. The shades of the eyeshadows were okay but within minutes they had creased so I am bit worried how long it will last. The shade was very light and I had to use a lot of eyeshadow to bring the colour out. I like my greens a bit more vibrant.

Murad Hybrid Range

I cam across Murad which is a doctor skincare brand with a different approach. I had the privilege of meeting the founder, Dr Howard Murad, M.D at the launch the new Hybrid range. His philosophy is that skincare comes from not only what you put on the skin but what you put in your body.

We all know we should have at least 8 glasses of water per day but do we all actually keep to it? I am a culprit as I do not drink nowhere near as much water as I should. But something Dr Murad pointed out that water comes in many forms. A lot of our food contains water for example cucumber have a high water content. Essentially, you can 'eat' your water. This is what he called the Science of cellular water. As we get older our cells lose water. The more water we lose, the more we begin to age prematurely. So somehow we need to replace this lost water. What makes Murad different is it has a two-pronged approach to healthy skin. Eat healthy with lots of water and use the right products for your skin type. However as we all know it is not as easy as it sounds! Here is Dr Murad's Pitcher of Health. It shows very clearly what we should be eating for healthy skin from the inside out.

As we can see water and supplements make up a small part. Vegetables, protein and whole grains are important and can do your skin wonders.

As for what you put on the skin, Murad have launched the Hybrid range. It aims to disguise flaws and improve the skin's health. There are 4 new products in the range. There are 2 skin-perfecting primers and 2 eye lifts.

The skin-perfecting primers come in a dewy and matte finish. It has a universal shade so whatever your shade, it will match your tone. A subtle tint helps to disguise flaws and even skin-tone. I tried the dewy finish which gives a luminous glow. This has definitely become my new primer. The matte finish is good for people with oily skin who want to be shine-free.

The 2 eye lifts are the Eye Lift Illuminator and Eye Lift Perfector. You can use the Eye Lift Illuminator to hide dark circles and brighten up the eyes. It has violet tint which gives the eyes that glow and counteracts dark circles. The Eye Lift Perfector increases firmness and evens skin tone as it has a natural tint.

People I am back!!! I have been going to lots of press events so I have lots of exciting things to tell you but first things first, Diamonique at QVC. I am true believer in the saying "Diamonds are a girl's best friend". However, for us mere mortals a diamond may not be in the budget. Diamonique have the most beautiful simulations of diamonds at a fraction of the cost. To celebrate the launch of 3 new categories of Diamonique, QVC had a pop up shop on Tuesday 11th October with a little lady you may recognise...

Undoubtedly the best Julia Roberts lookalike I have seen. QVC had replica pieces of iconic jewellery. The necklace from Pretty Woman, hence the Julia Roberts live mannequin. My favourite has to be the yellow diamond necklace from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I love that move and I love the yellow dress from the movie. I remember going on a hunt for the similar dress when I first saw the movie, I was so obsessed. What I would give for this beauty!

They also had the the Ocean necklace from Titanic. If I cannot have the yellow necklace, these beautiful yellow earrings will suit me nicely! I cannot believe they are only £50.50.

Fashion Rocks in Westfield Stratford

So by now you know all about Westfield Stratford City opening and you may have had a walk around. But if you are like me you may have missed a few shops which are slightly outside the centre in all the chaos. So I went back for round two once the madness died down and found a little gem and my new home, Fashion Rocks. You may know of the catwalk shows which brings fashion and music together. There are now spinoff stores in London and Sheffield. I cannot express how much I want to live here...

Why? Well let me just name just a few of brands housed in Fashion Rocks. Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, DVF and Anglomania. You get the picture.

Bags, shoes, menswear, everything, they got it. Walking around the store, there was so many pieces I wanted, I felt like I was a candy shop. So if you have not been there yet, it is well worth the trip. Just make sure your wallet is ready...

New Frontcover kits!

Frontcover can only be described as beauty products for the fashionista. Whatever shade you need, Frontcover has it. If you have not heard of Frontcover, (where have you been?), they release limited edition beauty collections twice a year. The collections include complete kits for the lips, eyes and nails. I recently got the chance to meet one of the co-founders who told me about the inspiration and what goes on behind the scenes.

What I love about Frontcover is it reflects the fashion season and is takes inspiration from the catwalk. There are instructions on every box on how to get the look and give some handy tips. So here's a few of my favourite kits from the new collection. If you want everything in one box, you need Style Queen. The kit is full of makeup essentials including brushes. It has eyeshadows in various shades and tones, pigments, lip glosses to name a few things. It also has Shadowline. Shadowline turns any eyeshadow into an eyeliner as you dip it in and becomes a liquid paste.You get the whole box for £35. For what you get inside, it is an absolute steal as separately you would pay so much more.

The next kit is Gilt Edged. For a bronzed shimmer look, this is amazing. The kit includes a shimmer stick, metallic eye pencil in gold and copper shades, pigments and eyeshadow to complement the look and holographic glitter which can be used on it's own or over pigments. Perfect to warm up for winter! This is £25.

There is a huge increase in nail art ad I have seen a lot of funky designs. So why don't you create your own design using the Brush Work. You get 4 pots to create your own nail art, including stars,teardrop crystals, square and round crystals. You get some nail glue so you can stick everything on, a nail art brush for straight lines and 3 nail art transfers. £20.

A lot of people are afraid to try red lips. There is a shade out there for you, you just have to find it. Just because a bright red does not suit you, does not mean a more subtle coral will not look amazing on you. Front Cover have it covered with Airkiss. 20 lipsticks from nudes to fuchsia to browns. No matter your hair colour or tone there is a shade to suit you so why not experiment? Few things look better than a red hot lip and it is all over the catwalk. £20

Being a bit of nail polish addict, Fingerprint is right up my streak. It has 6 metallic polishes, a glitter top coat and 2 nail buffers. I love these colours! £14

This little beauty is A Billion Stars.

For a night out this can help create a starry eyed look. As well as the eye shadows, you get a pot of stars which you can use on the side of the face. You get Shadowbase which is a eyeshadow primer. The colours in the palette are interchangeable so pick what colours you like.

Illamasqua Theatre of the Nameless

I always like a brand that dares to be different. Illamasqua are eccentric, unique and very bold. The new collection is called Theatre of the Nameless and inspired by self-expression that transformed 1920s Berlin. The collection is rich in colour and has some fabulous rubber-look nail polishes.

There are 3 new additions to the pure pigments. Berber is the shown below and is a deep auburn colour with shimmer. Perfect for a night out. Zeitgeist is the charcoal pigment and Beguile is an iridescent shimmer to highlight. Pure pigments have so many purposes. They can be used to highlight eyes, cheeks and brows. You can mix the colours to find the perfect shade. For example, darken up Berber and create a hot red smoky eye by using Zeitgeist on the sides.

You will also see swatched above the new blusher, Ambition. Illamasqua have now introduced shimmer into their blushers to give a radiant glow. This has quickly become my goto blusher to wake up my face.

When it comes to nail polishes, you could have a glossy finish or a matte finish, until now. Illamasqua have produced four new shades which give a rubber, waxy finish.

I have to be honest, I am glossy finish girl. But the dark colours look very interesting. The dark red is definitely calling to me. I would have to use a top coat I think to give it a gloss. What do you think? Will you be trying out the new rubber look?

Amway Fashion Show

A few weeks ago, I went to the Inspiring Diversity Fashion Show sponsored by Amway. I finally have the chance to share some of gorgeous clothes with you. It was a charity fashion show in aid of a fantastic cause. The collections were available to order and all profits went to raise money for the Inspired By People (IBP) charity. They support projects in developing countries and aim to improve and empower the lives of vulnerable people, particularly women and children. 5 designers were on show so without further ado...

z-mode was my favourite collection and the hostess' favourite as well as she wearing the most beautiful dress from z-mode below. The hostess was Zoe Hardman who was really nice and quite funny. The designer, Victoria Rangayah is from Lithunia. She relocated to the UK in 2008 and launched her label z-mode during LFW SSH in 2010.

Designer Hu Sheguang showed us how to make a dress out of some fabric in a few minutes.

Purity Ritual Spa Experience... Heaven on earth

Just before the chaos of LFW, I was lucky enough to go to Purity Spa for the most luxurious spa experience. I thought is was the perfect way to prepare and relax. If you are looking for a spa experience, I recommend booking through Wahanda as they have a wide selection of spas and treatments including blowdrys, fish pedicures and all around pampering. The best deal I found was the Ritual Experience at Purity Spa in Hilton Park Lane.

The Ritual Experience includes a lot of treatments and and provides excellent value for money. The treatments you receive include:

Chilled glass of bubbly
Back scrub
Back Massage
Facial
Hand Massage
Foot Massage
Use of the sauna and steam rooms

They used Dermologica products for the scrub and facial which were amazing. The massage with with aromatherapy oils. The whole experience lasted about 80 minutes. So how was it?

The back massage was so good, I almost feel asleep. There was candles and soothing music to help relax and unwind. I forgot how good a hand and foot massage can be. I often forget about my hands and feet and I think they are feeling a bit unloved. My therapist was a reflexogist and knew all about pressure points so I was in very safe hands.

The whole experience is worth £130 but Wahanda offer the package for £50. Yes, 3 massages, scrub and facial for £50. Do not forget the all important champagne!

My only issue is the waiting time between booking and the appointment. Be warned the Purity Spa are fully booked for several month's advance. I wish they could perhaps add a few treatment rooms? Regarding the treatment, worth every penny and I left feeling relaxed. In the lead up to christmas, you may want get your appointment booked in as soon as possible to be party ready! Head to Wahanda for your spa experience. Enjoy!

Shoes and Bags from London Fashion Week

As there is so much on show at LFW, I decided to split the post into various categories. yesterday you saw the jewellery. Now you get to see the amazing shoes and bags!

Cleo B was a standout shoe designer for me. Sandals like this made me fall in love. Go BOOM!

There was some heels which I would swear I took a photo but for the life of me I cannot find the photo. Anyway, they were bright heels with a chunky statement heel in gold shaped like a cassette. I loved them so much I would rock them on a night out. Anyway I digress.. more shoes from the fabulous Cleo B.

Aksha Fernandez studied in Italy and takes a lot inspiration from nature and architecture. The prints really make the shoe come alive and show her creative side.

Moving to bags. Bags, bags and more fabulous bags. These are from George Angelopoulos. George launched his own fashion in 2009 after graduating in Fashion Design & Marketing and working for a fashion label.

His designs have lots of geometric shapes like these two and the new collection is very bright for SS12. Each bag is handcrafted and made with precise detail. Gemma Arterton is a fan!

I first came across BUBA earlier this year and the amount of detail and embellishments that go into the bags is amazing. BUBA is from husband and wife team, Euan McDonald and Lesley Silwood. The story of how they met is so endearing, I have to share this with you as I wish this would happen to me! So they cross paths in Goa wearing near identical outfits and kept bumping in to each other so they arranged to meet on a beach thinking the other would not show. But luckily they both turned and 9 years later here they are! Euan, Lesley, I hope you do not mind me sharing this story but all I think about while I read the story was awwww!! I had to share. So BUBA was born.

I would kill for this clutch. The collections are inspired by exotic cultural colours and the bags are handmade in Delhi. Each bag is unique as the beads, patterns and and designs are different. How do you not love this?

For a few months, I have been hearing a lot about GlossyBox. The good, the bad, ups and downs. Well if you have been locked a cave for the past few months, GlossyBox is the UK's answer to BirchBox. It is a subscription service where you get 5 samples every month for £12.95. So I dived in and here are my goodies...

What I like about the new beauty subscription is you get to try brands you have never heard of. One bone of contention I have hear about constantly is are the products actually luxury and are they worth it? Looking at brands that have been featured in previous boxes, I would say 99% products are luxury. Previous brands have been NARS, Illamasqua, Ciate and Weleda. You get products for skincare, makeup, haircare, bath and perfume so there is something for everyone. If I get one non-luxury product every few months, am I really going to complain if the the other products are amazing? There is a theme every month. So in summer you will more products to glow and for tanning. This month's theme is 5 Future Classics. Some of these I definitely will be buying again and will be in my box of tricks.

It is worth noting that as it is £12.95, not every product will be full-sized. I know, I know, but why not? Well look at the HD Brows Palette in this month's box. It costs £19.99 alone. The HD Brows has to be my favourite out of this month's box. The perfect tool to create the smoky eye!

Other products include Neal Wolf Glow for super shiny hair, Plum by Mary Greenwell perfume sample (subtle but nice scent), Deep Sea Magik Salt Brushing (can't wait to try this) and Moa Green Balm. Apparently the Moa Green Balm is a healing balm and has a lot of uses which I will investigate more.

Now there are other beauty boxes available. I am receiving my first Feelunique Beauty Box next month so it will be interesting to compare the two. Overall, I like the quality of products in GlossyBox. The only downside is you pay postage & packaging whereas the competitors give free P&P. Let's be honest, it is still a good deal!

Now if they could put Benefit or Bare Escentuals in there for next month, I will be a very happy bunny!

Jewellery from London Fashion Week

I am huge fan of statement jewellery and there was more than enough at LFW this week. It's amazing a statement piece can change an ordinary outfit into something very different. Be prepared, this is a picture heavy post but I hope you enjoy it. One of the standout designers for me was new Central St Martin's graduate, Kyle Hopkins. I want it all!

Next up is Cabinet. Cabinet is a newly established brand from designers Gemma Critchley and Zara Braganca. Their ethos is creating one of a kind jewellery and limited editions pieces. I love their pieces as they are so unique.

I first saw the MAWI collection when she opened her store in London. Ever since I have completely fallen in love. Her new SS12 collection is bright, loud and retains the statement signature look we have to come to love. If I could have one of everything, I would be in heaven.

MAWI has also collobarated with the Disney Couture to make a Minnie collection. I saw this on ASOS a while ago and loved it then. If you have not seen, here's a taster...

MyFlashTrash is an online jewellery boutique which features jewellery from over 30 designers. Having seen just a few of the collections available, they are unique and definitely items you will not find in stores. What I liked about this was it had delicate items as well. After a while of walking looking at huge necklaces, stunning but huge, it was nice to see something you could wear during the day and to work. So whatever your jewellery needs head to MyFlashTrash.

Holly Fulton SS12 at LFW

I was lucky enough to catch the Holly Fulton catwalk show today at London Fashion Week and what a show. Holly creates the most amazing statement pieces with bold colours, prints and embellishments. I cannot wait for SS12 to wear bold numbers like this beauty...

Holly is known for her bold creations. I loved her last season and I am now a fan for life! You can always spot a Holly Fulton piece a mile off as they are so unique.

BeautyWorksWest - My new beauty haven!

Have you heard of BeautyWorksWest? It's an online boutique which gives you the products that combines the science and beauty. I cam across the site on one my daily site trawls and I saw brands I have never heard of which always peaks my interest. So having tried a few of them out, here are my favourites.

My dream body (that will never happen)...

Prtty Peaushun, pronounced Pretty Potion, is a body lotion that gives you the most amazing golden shimmer, firms and conceals imperfections including cellulite, varicose veins and stretch marks. Basically there is nothing it does not do except clean the floor and make you cup of tea.

I tried it out and fell in love. The shimmer and glow is amazing. It has an oily base with light reflecting particles to moisturise the skin. What I like is my skin did not feel oily. The lotion soaked completely in and my skin felt so soft. If you are going on holiday or just looking for a glow for night out, I cannot recommend this product enough. I tried to take a picture after rubbing but the sheen did not come out well so the above picture may not look great but you get an idea if the consistency.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna, Pink and Cate Blanchett are just a few of the celebrities who love Prtty Peaushun. It is created by celebrity makeup Bethany Karlyn. The formula is fragrance free so perfect if you are sensitive to fragrance. My only gripe is when opening. Be careful and do not do want I did and spill it over the floor. The oil spurts out of the packaging like Niagara Falls so open gently and pour slowly to avoid too much.

Prtty Peaushun comes in different shades so whether you want a slight dewy glow or to enhance your dark tan there is a shade for you.

Sjal Skincare is also available on BeautyWorksWest. Sjal is a luxury skincare line which takes a holistic approach with a bit science mixed in. The entire Själ line is free of temporary lifts or fillers, such as petroleum jelly, mineral oil, silicone or caffeine, whose effects on the skin can plateau and diminish over time.

I tried the Sjal Pearl Enzyme Exfoliating Mask. It is very gentle and will be good for sensitive skin. In the mask are crushed pearl extracts, which brighten and even skin tone and exfoliate.The enzymes work to provide a gentle exfoliation.

I use microdermabrasion and strong exfoliators so I found a bit to gentle for me and wanting a little bit more but I do not have sensitive skin. I think this will definitely suit people with sensitive skin. You gently massage into the skin and leave for 10-15 minutes to let the enzymes work and rinse off.

New FashonistA Nail Lacquer from The Saturdays

Everyone knows I am a nail addict. I have polish in every colour and for every day of the week. So when I heard The Saturdays were collaborating with new makeup brand FashionistA to launch their nail lacquers I was very excited.

There are 5 colours available, one for each of the girls and they are on the latest trend, magnetism. I am all about bright colours so I had to try All Fired Up Red from Rochelle. There is also Purple me Up for Mollie, Notorious Silver for Frankie, Forever is Blue from Vanessa and Ego Green from Una.

I love all the colours, I could not possibly pick just one. So what is favourite?

How does it work, Put one coat and let it dry. Add a second coat and use the magnet to magnetise it and create the gorgeous wave effect. This is me wearing All Fired Up Red...

The Fashionista range launches in Superdrug on 26th October. The lacquers cost £6 each. Unfortunately the magnet is sold separately, boo! It does cost only £3 and obviously, the one time so well worth it.

My only qualm is a day later they have started to chip so the quality worries me but that will not stop me. It's just an excuse to change colours!

If the nail polishes are not enough for you, well how about these little beauties...a customised design palette system.

Whenever I buy an eye shadow palette there is always a shade or two I do not like and do not get used. The custom palette allows you to choose between 49 eyeshadows and 12 blushers so that every shade is one you love. I choose 4 marbled eye shadows as they are so different and I can tell you I absolutely love every colour and every colour will get used. Swatches...

Did you go see the hysteria and madness at Westfield Stratford today? Wow, I could barely walk 1 metre without bumping into somebody. Packed does not begin to describe. However, I did not let that stop me from getting to amazing shops! My debit card took a dent today. So let me show my new goodies! My prized possession is this feather clutch from River Island. From the minute I saw it, it had my name on it!

Shoedazzle is the new shoe and accessories brand which has just arrived from Kim Kardashian in the UK. Every month stylists pick out shoes which they think you will like according to a questionnaire which you fill in when you first join. At the beginning of every month, you get a showroom showing a stylist's picks of gorgeous shoes, bags and jewellery for you.

If you do not like the choices you can always request a second set of choices but I hardly have to do this as there is always something I love. It is like a subscription service to your own personal stylist. You think it costs a fortune? Wrong. It is £40 per month. If you are having a budget month or simply nothing takes your fancy (impossible!) then you can always skip the month so you will not be charged anything.

My choice of shoes, after much deliberation, was the Oh LaLa, pictured above. There was so many shoes I wanted in my selection I really had a hard time choosing. The Ooh LaLa has faux white snakeskin and cutouts at the top with caged detail. One thing, they do not look so high on the website but I can tell you they are gigantic skyscrapers. The heel is 3.75" and a 1" platform. I showed it to some girls around the office and I got a few 'they are beautiful but are you crazy?' looks. I have no idea how I will walk in them so wish me luck. I am thinking of wearing these to LFW to give a wow factor but we shall see.

The sizes do come up very small in Shoedazzle. Usually I am a 6 but I had to go up to a 7 in Shoedazzle. So I recommend going up a size.

Preparing for London Fashion Week SS12

In 4 days time London Fashion Week starts! I am so excited so I have turned my wardrobe upside down looking for the perfect outfit. So I thought I would give a taster of some shoes.

Coach Flagship Store opens in London

Today was a good day. Today, I was invited to see the new Coach flagship store which recently opened up in New Bond Street, London. If ever there was any debate on if there was a God, it can now be put to rest. When I stepped through those doors, I died and went to heaven! Words simply do not the pieces justice and neither do the pictures quite frankly. So if you are on the lookout for a quality designer bag head to Coach.

It has a wider range than the Westfield Store due to its size. Be sure to check the archives on the second floor. It has all the classics. For now, enjoy the show!

Just do not ask about the prices...
