Erno Laszlo -The Hollywood Collection

For UK readers, you may not have heard of Erno Laszlo but you have definitely felt the impact of his work. Erno Laszlo is considered the progenitor of skincare and helped the world's most beautiful women maintain radiant  complexions and resolved their skin issues. Did you know Marilyn Monroe had acne? I didn't and looking at her photos you would not either thanks to Erno Laszlo. Remember these were times before Photoshop. Audrey Hepburn was another client of Erno Laszlo who said ' I owe 50% of my beauty to my mother and the other 50% to Erno Laszlo'. In the days of Marilyn and Audrey, if you were an actress the studio apparently sent you to Dr Erno Laszlo to resolve any skin issues without hesitation, it was not even a choice. You went to Erno Laszlo. There was simply no one else as he was of the first dermotologists.

Erno Laszlo was recently acquired by a new CEO, Charles Denton who relaunched it with a new vision as it enters its 85th year. So he has launched The Hollywood Collection which features 5 new products based on formulations for each icon. My favourite has to be the Morning Beauty Rescue inspired by Marilyn Monroe. It a light gel designed to revitalize and brighten a dull complexion. Apparently Marilyn had a lot of late nights so in the morning she needed a little boost to give her that radiance.

Here is a swatch and you can see the pearl luminescence. This has quickly become a staple product of mine and I use it every day becuase I love having a glow. You can use before or after moistiriser. I think after moisturiser is best as I think moisturiser after dampens the glow.

This is actually the products that Marilyn that were taken from here bedroom. I can't believe I got to see these. They are worth a ridiculous amount but she owned these precise items and she touched them! *faint*

Also in The Hollywood Collection is Instant Eye Repair inspired by Ava Gardner that firms and hydrates the eye area. Intensive Porcelain Veil is inspired by Katharine Hepburn which is a rich hydrating cream with antioxidant proctection.Refresh Moisture Infusion is inspired by Grace Kelly and diminishes dullness and restores suppleness. Velvet Night Cream is inspired by Greta Garbo which is a rich night treatment that addresses fine lines and facial wrinkles by filing in facial lines and leaving it sculpted and defined. The prices are quite high however it is sheer luxurious quality you get here. Prices start from £85 for the Instant Eye Repair and go up to £175 for Velvet Night Cream.
